WINSAT VERSE - Our Poem
Of Rainbows

There's a Rainbow over Glasgow,
There's a pot of gold in Crewe,
But the problem's how to join them
Just North of Katmandoo.

There are shoals of silver fishes
In the sea of molten gold
Which flanks this isle of wishes
And its stories yet untold.

And within this little island,
Ah! Now we're at the nub!
Is a band of doubty Hackers,
Self-styled the WinSat Club!

They tell of Albatross and Bogies
And Birdies - Eagle high
Of Putts that fall and Chips that roll
And Drives that reach the sky!

They tell of competition,
Of contests tightly fought,
Of battles won and battles lost -
Within the soul of Sport.

But the Rainbow flowing onwards
Is a simple, sunny road.
And friendship at its ending
Is the shining Pot of Gold.
